Pickaxes are one of the main functions in PickCrafter. They allow the player to mine blocks quicker by increased strength, increase picks with a critical hit and have there own unique pickaxe powers that become better the more you progress.

At the start of the game pickaxes are usually acquired from crafting them using materials that the player has mined. But pickaxes can also be acquired from chest or event Chests with a low rarity and Enderchests with a higher rarity.

Vanity Pickaxes

Any pickaxe with the Vanity Strength and Critical Hit, have there respected stats Vanity based on the strongest pickaxe of the same level.

E.g if you have a Cookie Pickaxe (which is Vanity) and you craft the Endstone Pickaxe , the stats of the Cookie Pickaxe will copy the ones of the Endstone Pickaxe, and will have a strength of 33 and 10% chance of a critical hit. This will continue for each new pickaxe you craft or upgrade.

Upgrading Pickaxes

After Prestiging, upgrades for pickaxes become available. Each upgrade increases its damage by 33, and may increase its chance of a critical. It also modifies the pickaxe's appearance from Levels 1-9 then resets back to the appearance it had at Level 1 after that, albeit with a pink glow at Level 10, a blue glow at Level 19 and a green glow at Level 28. This is likely a reference to how enchanting an item in Minecraft will give the item a pink glow.

Pickaxes obtainable in Chests and Seasonal pickaxes can be upgraded with Picks or Runic.[1]However, if the event where the Seasonal pickaxe can be obtained is happening, then the pickaxe must be upgraded with what it costs to buy it during that event.
